A bit about me

I'm a marine biologist, currently working in Cornwall. I'm interested in the conservation of marine megavertebrates and I'm currently involved in projects focusing on dolphins, porpoises, seals and basking sharks. I'm hoping to work towards changing fishing practices which result in bycatch of non-target species and which damage the marine environment. I'm also interested in the socio-economic value of ecotourism to rural areas and the management of this industry to benefit both people and the environment.
My time = dive, take photos, take photos whilst diving, try-to-surf, swim, drink tea, and dive.

My thoughts on the weekend

Hm. Apart from the sunshine, good company, the best kind of information overload and funky tunes.....? Well, it was ok, I guess.

William James said, 'the great use of life is to spend it on something that will outlast it'. This weekend was a great example of how lots of people are trying to do just that. I'm just sorry I didn't get to talk to everyone.... maybe next time!

Thanks for the invite, howies.
