About the speaker
Andy Middleton is a beach bum turned eco-entrepreneur, who was inspired by social & environmental justice. Armed with a potent combination of naiveté, conviction and good fortune, he has started and run a string of successful businesses, many of which are part of what is now TYF.
Haphazard learning at university has been supplemented by work ranging from gold miner and gardener to National Park board member and keynote conference speaker, and his on-going research and learning has given Andy the tools to challenge the ground rules of sustainable development.
He has 20 years' experience as a consultant, facilitator and advocate with governments, international companies and NGOs to enable change from the inside-out, and help clients turn vision into reality. Andy works internationally with organisations that include the Welsh Assembly Government, the China Executive Leadership Academy in Shanghai, American Express, the Sustainable Development Commission, Sustain Wales and Rathbones Greenbank. He lives with his family on the coast in St Davids, where he is building an eco house overlooking the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.
